Funding Call – Net Zero Materials Innovation
Gain access to funding and insight from industry leaders to help turn your materials innovation idea into a commercially viable climate solution.
Please note this call is part of a pilot of the MATcelerate ZERO model and is restricted to researchers from the partner universities of Bristol, Cambridge, Imperial, Manchester, Oxford and UCL who are working with their University Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs). Completed applications should be submitted to your local TTO.
Overview
MATcelerate ZERO, a unique partnership between leading materials research universities and companies, is offering researchers from the six pilot partner universities the opportunity to pitch for up to £80,000 funding per project at three Investment Committees (IC) taking place in 2024.
All kinds of net-zero materials innovations are eligible for funding and all pitchers will receive advice from industry partners to help take their idea forward. Industry partners include CDT – A Sumitomo Chemical Group Company, Evonik, Ørsted, and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners.
Application Process
Proposals are invited against the application form questions. All proposals will be considered by the MATcelerate ZERO Investment Committee. A down-selected number of projects will then work collaboratively with their TTOs and relevant industrial partners to compile a pitch deck which will be presented to the Investment Committee.
